Teaching Scholarships in Maine

  • Educators for Maine Program

    Must be Maine resident; 3.0 GPA; pursuing initial certification as a teacher, including speech pathology or child care provider qualifications; must intend to work in Maine after graduation; must perform eligible work to qualify for loan forgiveness.

  • Maine Roads Scholarship Program

    Must be Maine resident; work in Maine in licensed or certified child care and early education program; meet financial requirements; be enrolled in a program to earn a one-year certificate, associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree at an accredited Maine college, or be pursuing a Child Development Associate credential.

  • The Maurine P. and Robert Rothschild Graduate Scholarship Fund

    Must be graduate student at College of the Atlantic; preference given to those pursuing work in the education field.

  • Isabel Grindel Condon Scholarship

    Must be resident of Brooksville, Maine; pursuing post-secondary education; preference given to students preparing for careers in education.

  • Maine State Personnel Development Grant

    Must be currently employed as special education teacher in Maine; seeking certification through University of Maine System.

  • University of Maine, Farmington Scholarships

    Must be student at University of Maine-Farmington; requirements vary by scholarship.

  • Lou Fontana Scholarship Fund

    Must be a student in the University of Maine system; pursuing a degree in teaching Special Education, preferably in the area of severe disabilities.

  • Maxine Trask Scholarship

    Must be graduating senior; female; resident of Brewer, Maine; planning to attend school in the University of Maine system and to pursue degree in education.
