Northern Arizona University Scholarships

  • CEE Elementary Education Scholarship

    Undergraduate or graduate student; must be an elementary
    education major

  • CEE Secondary Education Scholarship

    Undergraduate or graduate student; must be a secondary education major

  • Carol Worischeck Memorial Scholarship

    Undergraduate or graduate student; must be education major with a 3.5 GPA or better; must demonstrate community service and a commitment to voluntary community involvement

  • J. Lawrence and Lucy Walkup Scholarship Fund

    Sophomore level or above with a 3.0 GPA or above; must be enrolled on the Flagstaff campus; preference given to undergraduate elementary education majors with an emphasis in math, and/or science, or another field, or students who are pursuing teaching of reading as part of their teaching credential

  • May Hazelwood LaRue Scholarship

    Undergraduate scholarship or graduate fellowship; academicachievement or potential; preference given to residents of Arizona, students with financial need, and elementary education majors

  • Helen Copeland Householder Scholarship

    Education major; financial need determined by Financial Aid office; maintain a 3.0 GPA; must be in the top 20% of graduating class if entering NAU from high school

  • Lacey A. Eastburn Memorial Scholarship

    Must be a U.S. citizen and full-time student with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher; must be admitted to the Teacher Education Program

  • Manuel and Annie DiMiguel Scholarship

    Must be a U.S. citizen and a graduate from a Flagstaff District high school with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher; must be an education major; financial need is not a consideration

  • Peck Family Scholarship in Teacher Education

    Student must be in the College of Education and have maintained a 2.5 GPA; financial aid will be used to fulfill student teaching requirements

  • Thomas Gerald and Maxine Blackman Chilton Scholarship

    Student has declared interest in becoming a business teacher; has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above; preference is given to students demonstrating financial need as determined by their submitted financial need statement

  • John W. Tippeconnic Memorial Scholarship

    Must be at least one-quarter American Indian and enrolled and on the rolls of a federally recognized Tribe; must have a minimum GPA of 2.5; preference is given to education majors

  • Alvin and Agnes Tidwell Memorial Scholarship

    Elementary education major; admitted into Teacher Education Program; financial need is determined through the financial aid office

  • Janice M. Schnorr Special Education Scholarship

    Junior, senior, or graduate student majoring in special education; preference will be given to a student who has a GPA of 3.0 or higher; financial aid is determined through the financial aid office

  • Ida Bell McGill Memorial Scholarship

    Permanent residents of Arizona; junior, senior, or graduate standing majoring in educational psychology; meritorious student

  • Arthur Mercer Memorial Scholarship

    Must be elementary education major; admitted into Teacher Education Program

  • Tony O. Martin Scholarship

    Arizona high school graduate; admitted into Teacher Education Program; minimum GPA of 3.0 or above

  • Lubben Family Scholarship for Education

    Enrolled in the College of Education; priority given to students who agree to conduct student teaching at reservation sites or in schools with significant Native American enrollments

  • All Arizona School Retirees Association Scholarship

    Arizona resident; senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in teaching; must demonstrate leadership skills; must have a 3.0 GPA or above; financial need is a factor; ASRA makes final decision

  • Patricia V. Duke Thomas Special Education Scholarship

    Must be a special education major; preference is given, but not limited to undergraduate students; students may apply for continuation of this scholarship as long as they continue to meet the eligibility award criteria

  • Hengl Family Scholarship

    Must be from Yuma County, Ariz.; preference will be given to continuing education majors; must maintain a 3.0 GPA or better; must be active in school extracurricular activities or community service

  • Susan N. Coleman Scholarship

    Undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in Northern Arizona University’s College of Education majoring in special education; must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0; must demonstrate financial need as well as excellence in leadership in extracurricular activities

  • Dr. Charles D. and Linda Pilon Scholarship

    Must be a resident of Arizona enrolled in the College of Education at Northern Arizona University; achieves and maintains a GPA of 3.0 or higher; demonstrates
    financial need

  • Shirley Griffin Weber & Joseph Allen Weber, III Endowed Scholarship

    Must be resident of Yuma County, Ariz.; enrolled in the College of Education

  • Remembering Maggie Conway Memorial Scholarship

    Full-time student in the College of Education attending the NAU Mountain campus; must prove financial need; preference given to single female student; would prefer a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, but not necessary for eligibility.
